CRUCIFIXION TWO
My Lord and my God do not forsake me in my anguish
I plead my cause sustain me in my test
I know that I am just a man but your eye is on the sparrow
Surely you could watch over me
CHORUS
Cause I am lost Lord without you to take me through this trial
And I trust you to comfort me, give me strength to see my purpose through
My Lord and my God do not forsake me
My Lord and my God look upon me in my anguish
I beg your grace Oh stay me in your love
I know that I am full of sin but your mercy is forever
Surely you could forgive their sins
CHORUS 2
Cause they are lost Lord without you to take them through their trials
But I trust you to comfort me, give me strength to see my purpose through
My Lord and my God do not forsake me
BRIDGE
Father, Father why have you forsaken me
Father, Father have I not done all you asked of me
Oh Father, please look down upon me now
To feel your eyes upon me now
I will die to do your will, to do your will
My Lord and my God here I am in your love
I plead their case guide them through the fire
I know that they are but sinful men but your eye was on me
Just as you did for me watch over them
CHORUS
Cause they are lost Lord without you to take them through the trials
And they will trust you to comfort them, give them strength to see your purpose through
My Lord and my God do not forsake them, do not forsake them
Do not forsake them, do not forsake them
They are yours

Song Testimony
It was after singing Crucifixion 1 in my living room at home when this song
was written. It was written in the same frame of mind although from a different point of view. This song is from the
heart of Jesus as He was on the cross and some of the thoughts that could have gone through His mind. How deep His
anguish must have been, not only spiritually, emotionally but physically. How deep His pain must have been! Yet still in
all of it He was thinking of you, of me and how much He wanted us to be free also. But living in the spirit all of His
life having a one on one relationship with His Father always. How much more deep was His anguish when for the first time
in all of His existence His Father had to look away because there was so much sin there. Can you imagine, can you truly
see it? Yet He still saw His purpose and stayed with it. And look at where He is now, look at where we are now. He is on
the right hand of the Father, living in eternity. And because of His sacrifice, we have the opportunity to live in
eternity with the Father also. How beautiful Jesus truly is. We take for granted the gift that Christ has given us. Not
because we don't care, but because we care too much about ourselves and whether we are getting what we want in our
lives. Yet Christ always thought of us. Even now, after He gave His life, HIS VERY BREATH, He is interceding for us. He
is still pleading our cases. Even the wretched, selfish, sinful hearts of men, are still worthy of His love. How much
are we really willing to give to our Father, who is so generous to give us His only Son that we too might be saved. What
life is worth living without Him? |
